Loaned by Fiorentina, including a purchase option set at 11.5 million euros, right-back Pol Lirola (23 years old, 18 games and 2 goals in L1 this season) is apparently taking great pleasure in playing for Olympique de Marseille, under the orders of Jorge Sampaoli. The Spaniard’s father, Miguel, confirmed on Saturday that his son wants to continue the adventure on the Canebière.

"Pol is only thinking of one thing: his hope that the clubs agree on the transfer, and that he can keep on fending for Olympique. He has other options but he only wants to hear about OM. Besides, he definitely doesn't want to join Fiorentina back", Miguel Lirola made clear to La Provnce.

Marseille President Pablo Longoria has been trying for several weeks to negotiate a definitive purchase at a reduced price, compared to the call option, and a favorable outcome is hoped for.

Turning 24 on August 13, Lirola used to play for Sassuolo, as well as into Juventus development area.
