Turning 23 on May 31, English-Congolese striker Stephy Mavididi, according to L'Equipe, is growing into a major Olympique de Marseille target. Standing out from Montpellier ranks throughout current season, former Juventus Under-23 team hitman, purchased by La Paillade last summer, from Serie A giants, on a 6.3 million euros transfer fee, is currently on a deal with Ligue side until June 2024.

Playing in Arsenal youth and reserve system from 2011 to 2018, Mavididi, previously a Southend junior, managed to work his way into English Under-20 national team circle. On top of that, he collected tenures from the ranks of Charlton Athletic and Preston North End, and, once he joined Bianconeri youth ranks, got to play Ligue 1 for Dijon, in 2019/20. Scoring 9 goals in 33 national league matches throughout current season, Mavididi might now be put up for sale by Montpellier on a 2-digit sum.

Born in Derby, Mavididi is also suitable both as a winger and a second striker.
