Former France defender Marcel Desailly believes Real Madrid made a mistake by keeping Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior at the club.

“Vinicius Junior would be better off leaving,” Desailly said, questioning the decision to retain the 26-year-old at the Spanish side.
Vinicius Junior’s current contract with Real Madrid runs until the end of June 2032. His transfer value is estimated at 130 million euros.

The winger has made eight appearances in the Spanish league this season, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
