Manchester United have agreed to sign 16-year-old striker Chido Obi-Martin, who left Arsenal earlier this summer after his contract expired, Nigeraisoccernet.com reports.

Obi-Martin had doubts about his pathway to first-team football under Mikel Arteta, leading him to seek opportunities elsewhere.

The Denmark youth international scored 32 goals in 20 league games for Arsenal's U18s last season and made headlines with his 10 strikes against Liverpool U16s in a 14-3 win in November.

Obi-Martin turned down more lucrative offers from Germany to join United, indicating his preference for the club's development opportunities.

His medical examination is expected to take place in the coming days.
