Kevin De Bruyne ran the show as Manchester City bounced back from their derby defeat against Manchester United by beating Arsenal 3-0.

De Bruyne scored two goals and set up another for Raheem Sterling in a first-half masterclass and could have had a hat trick but for a fingertips save from Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

The Belgium international opened the scoring on two minutes with a half-volley before Sterling doubled the visitors' lead with a tap-in following good work from De Bruyne.

Five minutes before the break the game was put beyond Arsenal's reach when De Bruyne turned Matteo Guendouzi and bent a left-foot shot beyond Leno from outside the box.

Remarkably it was the first time he had scored more than once in a Premier League game.

That result moves City within four points of Leicester in second place, while Arsenal are down in ninth, seven points off a Champions League spot.
