Malaga rescue draw against Espanyol with stoppage-time equaliser

Malaga salvaged a 1-1 draw against Espanyol in the eighth round of the Spanish league, scoring in added time to deny the visitors victory.

Espanyol took the lead in the 13th minute when Bryan Zaragoza found the net for the Catalan side. The early goal allowed the visitors to establish an advantage, while Malaga were forced to chase an equaliser for much of the match.

Espanyol then focused on protecting their lead as Malaga looked for a way through. The hosts applied pressure during the remainder of the game but struggled to break down their opponents’ defence.

The decisive moment came in the 93rd minute. Adrian Nino equalised for Malaga, rescuing his side from defeat and securing a share of the points.
