Fans of a local Division Two side fervently booed and jeered former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko star Charles Taylor during a Ghanaian third-tier league game.

Fans of the visiting clubs continually shouted at the 33-year-old who was playing for new club, booing him for still playing football after failing with Hearts and Kotoko.

Taylor reportedly got infuriated by chants and confirmed confronting a substitute player from the game who had join the fans to tout him.

The veteran midfielder has joined Vision Explorers in the Ghanaian Division Two with hopes of reviving his career for a move abroad.

"I approached the player who had been substituted and threatened to beat me. It was bit confrontation but nothing furious," he told Accra-based Oman FM.

Taylor was capped 16 times by Ghana and scored twice and is hoping to return to active soccer.
