Lobi Stars: Benue Governor forms panel for forensic auditing

Benue State governor Reverend Father Dr Hyacinth Iormen Alia, has set up a committee for a forensic audit of the club's finances, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

This was made known by the governor after receiving the newly appointed Technical Adviser of the club, Daniel Amokachi in his office.

The panel was set up after a lingering crisis of non-payment of salaries by players and officials despite the government’s financial obligation to the club.

The forensic audit team consists of experienced auditors. They are Sam Chir, Assistant Director (audit), Bishop Dzungwe, Assistant Director (audit), Akpusugh Terungwa, Assistant Director (audit) and Dr Gberindyer Abraham Chia (AG).

Meanwhile, the governor praised the former Nigeria Super Eagles player during his time as a player and asked him to take the club to greater heights.

Amokachi who was in the company of Dr Philip Nongu, Chairman of Lobi Stars FC thanked the governor for the faith reposed in him and stated the importance of the forensic audit.
