14. 24 CEST - Through their official channels, The Magpies has announced the termination of Muto's contract by mutual consent. 

The club and player have come to an agreement on the final year of his contract, with the 29-year-old making ten starts in all competitions following his 2018 move from Mainz 05.

He has made a further 18 appearances from the bench and has scored twice - the first on his first league start, away at Manchester United, and the other against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup.

Muto spent last season on loan with Eibar in Spain's La Liga. Everybody at Newcastle United thanks him for his efforts at St. James' Park and wishes him well for the future.

French teenage striker Kenny Nagera is the latest to leave.

Nagera (19) has joined Bastia, who have just returned to Ligue 2 from the lower reaches of French football after dropping down the leagues in 2018, on loan for the fast approaching 2021/22 campaign. Nagera has come through the youth ranks in Paris and has appeared in the UEFA Youth League and prestigious youth tournament the Gambardella Cup along the way, having also made a brief first team outing against Strasbourg last season.

11.05 CEST - Recently linked to a move into Italian side ranks Udinese, 28-year old Argentinian international striker Lucas Alario, nearly making it into Copa America 2021 winning squad list, has just been announced agreeing on a further long-term with Bayer Leverkusen, whose deadline has been set at June 2024. 

Playing for German club since 2017/18, former River Plate hitman stated: "I have always emphasized that i feel very comfortable at Bayer 04. We want to achieve a lot together. We want to be forward and detemined all three competitions along, for the upcoming season".

10.56 CEST - Salvatore Sirigu, who graduated this summer as European Champion with the national team, is a new Genoa player. The goalkeeper, born in Nuoro on 12 January 1987, has already made 27 appearances with the Italy shirt, 23 of which as a starter. After two loan spells with Süper Lig side Galatasaray – his club being pipped to the title on goal difference by Be?ikta? this season – the 24-year-old now moves to Greece.

6.59 CEST - Second tier Spanish team Málaga have this afternoon announced the signing of French free agent Mathieu Peybernes on a two-year deal.

The central defender has played for a host of clubs in Spain since 2018 – most recently Zaragoza, on loan from Almería – having last played in France for Lorient. The 30-year-old has also turned out for Lugo and Sporting Gijón, now returning to Andalusia for the upcoming Segunda División season.

6.55 CEST - Auxerre have tonight announced the signing of striker Gaëtan Charbonnier, who arrives after leaving Brest on a free. The arrival of the forward was announced just before the team kicked off their Ligue 2 second matchday clash against Grenoble.

The 32-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the club, arriving after a Ligue 1 campaign in which he scores six goals, contributing to the Brittany club’s survival.

6.50 CEST - Toulouse have tonight announced the signing of Australian midfielder Denis Genreau from Macarthur FC.

The French-born player, who featured for his country at this summer’s Olympic tournament, arrives in Ligue 2 after previously appearing for Melbourne Victory and PEC Zwolle.

5.30 CEST - AS Monaco and Olympique Lyonnais have reached an agreement for the transfer of Jean Lucas. The Brazilian midfielder, who has made 67 top flight appearances in Brazilian and French football (3 goals, 5 assists), has joined the Rouge et Blanc through 30 June 2026.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Jean Lucas joined Flamengo’s youth teams in 2015 and made his debut in 2018, aged just 19, in Serie A (Brazilian first division). In his first professional season, he also played in the Copa Libertadores with his parent club before joining Santos FC on loan.

4.15 CEST - Eldor Shomurodov signed for As Roma and he will play next season under Jose Mourinho. These are his first words as Roma player: "I will do everything I can to show I deserve this opportunity and to demonstrate what I can do at one of the biggest clubs in the world."
