Karim Benzema could one day return to first club Lyon as he enters the last year's of his career, the club's president has suggested.
“Karim has never played at Groupama Stadium before," Lyon owner Jean-Michel Aulas is quoted as saying. "The future will tell us if, when he ends his career, there is a possibility of strengthening the ties.
"He has had an exceptional career at Real Madrid and in the French team. It is a great source of pride because he is a child of OL."
Basically achieving any title a football player can, club-wise, throughout his career, Benzema, currently on a deal with Real Madrid until June 2022, is likely to extend a couple seasons long beyond.
So far, he scored 279 goals for Real Madrid, across 559 official games caps.
