Allegedly phoned by former national team coach of his Vladimir Petkovic himself, Swiss international left-back and wide midfielder Ricardo Rodriguez has just turned down a Girondins de Bordeaux offer to join in, according to latest Italian news. Playing for Torino since summer 2020, former AC Milan and Wolfsburg, providing a rather underwhelming debut seasonal performance, is now apparently eager to win back the club's trust. To this end, Granata new boss, Ivan Juric, is lining him up as a regular starter indeed.

Still on a deal with Italian club until June 2024, Rodriguez, turning 29 on August 25, is now mostly playing as a centre-back. Before being approached by French club, he had been inquired about by SC Freiburg and Mainz 05.
