According to Mundo Deportivo, the defender wants to stay put at the club but is not closing himself off from a possible exit. However, he does not have an alternative destination in mind and there are no offers for him from suitors.
Umtiti is on a contract with Barcelona until June 2023. Barcelona’s precarious financial position will make the Frenchman enter the scenario of salary reduction, which he doesn’t want to go through with.
