The Afonja Warriors Boss questioned why the league cannot start before now despite ending it in July in order start the new season on time.

"Why can we not expect the league to start? We should expect the league to start before now. We ended the league in the name of starting in September,” Badawiy told Brila FM.

“We are heading towards December and the league is yet to start. The team is paying players salaries while the league is yet to commence.”

Meanwhile, recent news say the Interim Management Committee (IMC) has proposed December 18th for the kickoff of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
