Kuwaiti side Al Qadsia have taken steps to keeping Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

Sumaila has ended his six-month loan deal with the side where he helped them clinch the Emir Cup.

The 22-year-old is expected to return to parent club Mamelodi Sundowns but GHANAsoccernet.com understands the Kuwaiti side are keen to make the deal permanent.

The former Asante Kotoko defender impressed heavily during his time at the club, which has gingered officials to make his stay permanent.
