Asante Kotoko striker Amed Toure has played down his chances to becoming goal king this season.
The Ivorian-born registered his tenth goal of the season on Sunday when he converted a late penalty in the 2-1 win over Bechem United at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Toure is now three goals behind leading scorer Nathaniel Asamoah but he insists his target is not to win the Golden Shoe.

“I’m not eyeing the goal king trophy at the end of the season, what matters most is Kotoko doing well in the league and not Ahmed Toure winning the goal king,” Toure said in a post-match conference.
“Though anything can happen but for now I’m only doing my best to put Kotoko in shape.”
