South African forward, Thembi Kgatlana had revealed that the Banyana Banyana are confidence of victory when they take on the Super Falcons of Nigeria on Tuesday for Paris 2024 qualification, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Nigeria go into the fixture with 1-0 lead from the first-leg in Abuja last week but the former African Footballer of the Year believe all hope is not lost.

Kgatlana believed their inability to score in Nigeria will not count against them as the away goal rule had been abolished.

“The good thing is [that] this is not a tournament. We know after the game in Pretoria, whoever wins will go through, but they have the advantage after the first leg; there is no away-goal rule,” she told Safa media.

“I also think that gives us more confidence because we are not chasing the game. We know that we have to win with a better score. We also have an advantage at home with better facilities.”

The African champions will now host Nigeria in the second leg at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
