Kelechi Iheanacho hasn't had the best of spell since joining La Liga side Sevilla after his exit from Leicester City, his performances haven't been enough to earn him a key role in the team with the club chiefs reportedly looking for a mutual way of separation, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
With Sevilla struggling to find the back of the net this season, sporting director Victor Orta is exploring options to bolster the club's attacking firepower. This could potentially lead to the departure of Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho's six-month tenure at Sevilla has been underwhelming. Despite the poor form of his fellow striker, Issac Romero, Iheanacho has struggled to consistently feature in the starting lineup.
This lack of consistent playing time under manager Garcia Pimienta suggests that the Nigerian may not be a long-term part of the club's plans.
Given the current situation, a departure from Sevilla might be the best course of action for Iheanacho to reignite his career elsewhere.
