Kano Pillars technical adviser Usman Abdallah has expressed concern over the absence of key players for their matchday 17 clash with Shooting Stars, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Sai Masu Gida side will miss the services of Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, Zulkifilu Muhammed, and Sudais Ali Baba.
Rabiu Ali, Nelson Abiam and Aminu Adam Sani will also miss the game due to national team engagement. Defender Habibu Yakubu is ruled out due to card accumulation.
Abdallah is optimistic despite the setbacks. "Playing without our key players such as Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, Rabiu Ali, and others is a big miss," he stated in a pre-match interview.
"It's not easy for any team, including us. However, I believe the younger players have learned a lot from their seniors, and this is their chance to show their quality."
