Jinx broken: Super Falcons finally qualify for Olympics after 16 years

Nigeria Super Falcons have qualified for the 2024 Olympics in Paris after beating South Africa Banyana Banyana 1-0 on aggregate on Tuesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Super Falcons secured a hard-fought 0-0 draw in Pretoria, which was enough to land the qualification ticket.

Nigeria breaks the Olympic jinx since 2008 which means it is the first time in 16 years that Nigeria will be qualifying for the Olympics in women's Football.

The nine-time African champions will be in Group C at the Games alongside Spain, Japan and Brazil.

Nigeria is the African nation with the most Olympic appearances with three (2000, 2004 & 2008).
