Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has revealed that he is yet to learn the reintroduced Nigerian national anthem, "Nigeria, We Hail Thee," Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

In a recent podcast appearance, Iwobi confessed that during international matches, he closes his eyes and places his hand on his chest when the new anthem is recited.
When asked if he had learned the new anthem, Iwobi replied, "No. When it comes on, I literally stand there and close my eyes."
The reintroduced anthem, written by Lillian Jean Williams and composed by Frances Berda, has sparked debate in Nigeria, with some prominent figures refusing to adopt it despite presidential endorsement.
