Conte has been without a job since leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of the 2017/18 season.

"A new chapter in my life is beginning, I am really excited," Conte told Inter's official website. "Through my work, I will try to repay all of the trust that the president and directors have placed in me.

"I have chosen Inter because of the club it is, because of the project's sound basis and how ambitious it is. Because of Inter's history.

"I was struck by the club's transparency and the desire to bring Inter back to where it belongs."

Inter parted company with Luciano Spalletti earlier in the week even though he had guided them to a fourth-placed finish in Serie A this season and was under contract until 2021.

However, they were knocked out of the Champions League at the group stage.

Conte won the Premier League and FA Cup during his two-season spell with Chelsea having previously guided Juve to three Serie A titles. He also managed the Italian national side between 2014 and 2016.

Inter president Steven Zhang said of Conte "I'm certain he'll help us achieve our objective and fulfil our mission, one which has always remained the same: to make this club one of the best in the world again."

Meanwhile, Italy are 19/20 to beat Greece on 8th June.
