‘This time, it’s over’: Axel Witsel ends 140-cap Belgium career

Axel Witsel has announced his retirement from international football at the age of 37, bringing his Belgium career to an end.

The midfielder, who previously played for Zenit St Petersburg in the Russian championship, made 140 appearances for the Red Devils.

Witsel scored 12 goals and provided eight assists for Belgium.
