Sunshine Stars had initially sought approval to move from Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne to Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode via a letter dated March 22, 2025.

The NPFL had previously emphasized that any venue change should be a return to their original home ground at Akure Sports Complex before considering further requests.

However, due to logistical challenges at Remo Stars Stadium and Dipo Dina Stadium meeting NPFL conditions, the request has been granted.
