Nigeria Premier Football League champions, Remo Stars, have signed three players ahead of the 2025/26 season, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

The new arrivals are midfielders Chaka Coulibaly and Jerome Bonou, alongside striker Adama Goita. All three agreed to two-year contracts.

“The Malian swoop. We are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Chaka Coulibaly and striker Adama Goita. Both have put pen to paper on a two-year deal,” the club stated.

Coulibaly joined from Sportive Binga FC of Bamako, while Goita arrived from Djoliba AC, one of Mali’s top clubs. Benin Republic’s Jerome Bonou was recruited from Association Omnisports Les Requins de l’Atlantique.

The NPFL champions are preparing for the CAF Champions League, where they face Comoros side US Zilimadjou in the preliminary round between September 19 and 21. The winner will take on South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns in the next stage.

Domestically, Remo Stars begin their league title defence against Rivers United on Friday in Abeokuta. The club has adopted the MKO Abiola Sports Arena as its temporary home, with renovations ongoing at their Ikenne stadium.

Remo Stars secured their maiden NPFL crown last season with 71 points, finishing seven clear of Rivers United after near misses in previous campaigns.
