Golden Eaglets head coach Manu Garba believes his team will continue to improve when they face Burkina Faso in their next match at the 2025 WAFU B U-17 Championship, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Eaglets secured a place in the semi-finals with a convincing 4-1 win over Benin Republic on Wednesday.
Garba's side will look to top Group B when they take on Burkina Faso on Saturday in Yamoussoukro.
The top two teams in the competition will earn a spot in the 2026 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, which will determine Africa's representatives at the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.
"We will see a better Nigerian team as the tournament progresses,” Garba said via Dailypost.
“The team was only assembled about a month ago and this was only their first international match.”
The Golden Eaglets will aim to build on their impressive win over Benin Republic as they seek to make a strong impression in the tournament.
