Sevilla head coach, Garcia Pimienta admits Kelechi Iheanacho is struggling to recapture his top form since joining Los Rojiblancos, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigerian striker, who arrived with a strong reputation from the Premier League, has failed to score or assist in four league appearances.

Pimienta attributed Iheanacho's slow start to his delayed pre-season training and recent international break.

"He came a month late, training individually," Pimienta told Spanish outlet ondacero. "He is adapting. The two weeks with the national team, in which he did not play, did not do him any good."

Despite the sluggish start, Pimienta remains confident in Iheanacho's abilities.

"We have to give him confidence. He is a quality footballer for everything he has done, and sooner rather than later we have to see him at his best. He has the capacity and quality for it."

Iheanacho will seek to break his duck in Sunday's clash against Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames.
