Brown Ideye who scored in Olympiakos last friendly game against Gent of Belgium followed that it up with another goal for Olympiakos in their thrilling 3-2 win over Westerlo in a pre season game. Ideye scored the third goal for the Greek champions in the 65th minute to take the scoreline to 3-0 and despite a late rally from Westerlo, Olympiakos hanged on to claim a morale boosting 3-2 win which maintains their unbeaten run in pre season.

The former West Brom record signing has been a revelation since joining the Greek side last summer with his 10 goals haul of last season, his first with the club playing a role in helping them emerge champions in record time.

27 year old Ideye also earned a recall to the Nigeria senior national team for the friendly games against Mali and Luxembourg in May after a close to two years absence thanks to his form in Greece.

He celebrated his recall with a goal against Luxembourg to wrap up a 3-1 win for Nigeria and he will be hoping he gets the attention of whoever gets the job of the Super Eagles ahead of the start of the qualifying series for the 2018 World Cup in October.
