The crucial encounter is scheduled for Saturday, 7 February, with the return leg set to take place on Saturday, 14 February. Falconets head coach Moses Aduku and his players are expected to arrive in Ibadan on Tuesday to intensify preparations ahead of the decisive fixture.
The winner of the two-legged tie will progress to the final round of the African qualifiers, where they will face either Guinea-Bissau or Malawi for one of Africa’s four available tickets to the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Nigeria’s Falconets boast a strong pedigree at the tournament, having finished as runners-up on two occasions and reaching the semi-finals in previous editions.
Meanwhile, Morocco has been confirmed as the host nation for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), with the finals scheduled to run from 17 March to 3 April 2026.
