"I like the project of the club, and that's what I want for myself", Arokodare on signing for Wolves
Tolu Arokodare has revealed in his first words after joining Premier Football League side Wolverhampton Wanderers the reason for choosen the club, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Super Eagles forward on completing a four-year deal with an option of an extra year says he is excited joining the club and the project of the club.
He states that the deal took a while, but he is happy he can now play for the team.
“It feels amazing. It did take a while, but I'm here finally, and I'm happy to be here. I didn't need convincing. I know the history of the club and the players that have been here and how they've progressed to become better players. I like the project of the club, and that's what I want for myself. I want to improve and I want to progress, and help this team."
Arokodare his confident he is a good fit for the club judging by the profile of the strikers who are doing well. He feels he has similar abilities.
“I think I'll fit in pretty good. If you, for example, look at the strikers that we have now, we're almost the same profile, so it won’t be difficult for me to adapt. You could see how good [Jorgen Strand] Larsen did last season, and I'm just here to help the team.”
The 24-year-old is eager and ready to go when he plays his first match for Wolves after the international break as he heads for Nigeria for the World Cup Qualifiers against Rwanda.
