Drawn into Group C alongside powerhouse teams Spain, Japan, and Brazil, Oparanozie acknowledges the challenge but remains resolute in her belief that Nigeria will shine on the Olympic stage.
“It’s a tough group,” she acknowledges, “Spain are world champions, Japan were previous world champions, and Brazil are a household name in the game. But I believe in the team; we will do well at the Olympics. The girls will show what they are made of; they will make themselves proud.”
