Jeffrey Sarpong suffered an injury and was replaced in the 38th minute as NAC Breda lost 5-4 against FC Groningen. In the Groningen team was Dutch-Ghanaian Johan Kappelhof. Midfielder Divine Naah was rested.

Belgian-born Marvin Peersmann was in action for Dordrecht who narrowly beat Ajax Amsterdam 2-1. Dutch-born Ghanaian Kenny Tete was also in action for Ajax.

Derrick Luckassen watched from the AZ Alkmaar bench as they won 4-1 against Excelsior Rotterdam.

Shadrach Kwesi Eghan was in fine shape for FC Twente in their 3-1 win against Heerenveen.

Another Dutch-born Ghanaian youngster Rodney Antwi sat on the FC Utrecht bench in their 3-3 draw at Vitesse Arnhem.

Former Ghana U17 and U20 striker Sadat Bukari came off the bench in the 65th minute to play for Al Shoalah who won 2-1 against Al-Faisaly.

Both Isaac Osae and Moussa Narry were in full-time action for Al Orubah who suffered a 1-0 loss at Al-Fateh.

Striker John Antwi came off the bench to play the last 6 minutes for Al Shabab who pecked Al Nassr to a 0-0 draw.

SCOTLAND

Wakaso Mubarak could still not make the Celtic squad for their 0-0 draw at St Johnstone.

Abdul Osman dropped to the Partick Thistle bench in their 4-1 home loss against Kilmarnock.

SWEDEN

Midfielder Reuben Aryana played for GAIS in their 1-1 draw with AFC United. Experienced midfielder Yussif Chibsah was not in the GAIS squad for the game.

Juventus confirmed their superiority over Inter Milan by beating them 2-1 at the Giuseppe Meazza. Midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah returned from injury to warm the Juventus bench but youngster Isaac Donkor could not make the Inter squad for the game.

Sassuolo managed a 3-2 win over troubled AC Milan. Ghana U23 midfielder Raman Chibsah was unused by Sassuolo but there was no Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari in the Milan squad for the game.

Godfred Donsah played just the first 45 minutes for Cagliari in their 1-0 loss against Palermo. Swedish-born Robin Quaison played till the 92nd minute.

Striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom continued his bench-warming exercise for Atalanta as he sat on the bench in their 4-1 defeat to Genoa.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu returned from suspension to play the entire game for Udinese in their 2-1 loss against AS Roma.

BELGIUM

There was no Eugene Ansah in the Lokeren squad as they recorded a 2-2 draw with KV Mechelen.

Nana Akwasi Asare was in full-time action for AA Gent as they improved their title chances with a 3-2 win over Club Brugge.

Winger Frank Acheampong was a full-timer for Anderlecht in their 1-1 draw with Standard Liege.

In the second-tier league, Samuel Asamoah played for AS Eupen when they drew 0-0 with Lommel United.

CYPRUS

Defender Razak Nuhu was booked in the 75th minute and played 82 minutes for Anorthosis Famagusta who defeated Apollon Limassol 3-1.

KAZAKHSTAN

Striker Patrick Twumasi fired blank in Astana's 2-2 draw with Pavloda.

NORWAY

Ghanaian midfielder Kamal Issah scored the second goal for IF Stabaek in their 3-3 draw at Molde. Winger Ernest Asante assisted Stabaek's third goal and played the entire game.

Nana Boateng and Mohammed Abu were both in action for Stromsgodset in their 3-1 hammering of Aalesund in the Eliteserien.

In the second-tier league striker Mahatma Otoo was axed from the Sogndal starting line-up and warmed the bench in their 1-0 win against Ranheim on Saturday.

ROMANIA

Sulley Muntari's brother - Sulley Muniru was in full-time action for CFR Cluj in their 3-0 away win over CSMS Ia?i.

SERBIA

Donji Srem lost 2-1 against visiting Napredak. There no neither Moro Abubakar nor Abraham Akwasi Frimpong in the game for Donji and Napredak respectively.

Midfielder Obeng Reagan was in full-time action for Cukaricki who lost 1-0 against Vojvodina.

SPAIN

In the La Liga, Derek Boateng was introduced in the dying embers of Eibar's 1-1 draw at Getafe.

Thomas Partey was booked in the 73rd minute for tripping as Almeria lost 2-1 against Sevilla.

Inaki Dannis Williams scored the match-winner for Athletic Bilbao in their 3-2 win over Elche.

DENMARK

Ghana international midfielder Daniel Amartey was in action for FC Copenhagen as they suffered a 2-0 loss against Midtjylland in the Superlig's biggest derby. Defender Francis Dickoh sat on the Midtjylland bench but Danish-born attacker Danny Amankwaa missed the game with injury.
