Both teams are seeking to end their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations campaigns on a high, following semi-final disappointments. Egypt fell 1-0 to Senegal, while Nigeria exited after a 4-2 penalty shootout defeat to Morocco.

Hassan stressed the importance of finishing on the podium. “We will fight for victory tomorrow in order to get on the podium and close the AFCON on a positive note,” he said during his pre-match press briefing.
