"He's one of our most important players" - Tancho Kalpakov laments Philip Ejike's exit

PFC Montana head coach Tancho Kalpakov has bemoaned the exit of Philip Ejike after the lethal forward completed a six-month loan switch to Belgian side KAS Eupen yesterday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Mavlon FC product who has scored 11 goals and provided 2 assists so far this season joins Montana who are currently in third place in the Vtora Liga, just one point behind league leaders Pirin.

"This is club policy. According to indicators, this was the person with the greatest contribution to our team. He brought us a lot of points with his goals. However, we have the assurance of the bosses that we will take a striker," coach Tancho Kalapakov told the club website after his departure.

"So far we are performing well in the controls. Against Botev Vratsa, we played an equal match with good dynamics. What the players showed is satisfactory. Now we are leaving for Turkey for the second stage of the preparation, after which we hope to have an even better face."

His strong performances and decisive goals recently mean that the team from the "Ogosta" stadium is left without its most important player.
