Henry Onyekuru set to leave Everton and join Monaco in £13.7m deal

Everton have held discussions with Monaco over the proposed sale of Henry Onyekuru and have stepped up interest in Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina.

Nigeria international winger Onyekuru was signed from KAS Eupen for £8million but has spent the past two seasons on loan as he struggled to gain a work permit to play in the UK

Having offloaded Ademola Lookman also, Everton manager Marco Silva wants another winger to complete his frontline after the Goodison club agreed to sign Moise Kean from Juventus.

Talks for Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha were halted at the start of the week as he was deemed too expensive while another option in Malcom of Barcelona is joining Zenit St Petersburg. Ajax's David Neres has also been considered

Everton are pushing ahead in talks with Southampton for Mario Lemina and remain in discussions with Mainz for £30m-rated Jean-Philippe Gbamin, who can cover at centre-back and midfield.

Southampton want to recoup the £18m they paid for Lemina who has attracted interest from Arsenal, Wolves, Manchester City and United over the past 12 months but is not wanted by Ralph Hasenhuttl
