Hearts of Oak stop-gap coach Eddie Ansah believes his side did not merit the 2-1 defeat to New Edubiase United on Saturday in the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians looked the better side but a costly mistake by Isaac Oduro denied them at least a share of the spoils at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.
Oduro failed to protect a lose ball and allowed New Edubiase striker Bismark Idan robbed him of with a sliding tackle and send a long ball into the Hearts area.
Bernard Ofori chested it down for Abdul Latif Anabilah to volley home beautifully with the inside of his foot for the match clincher.
Hearts were left dejected after a comprehensive 4-0 win in midweek against Heart of Lions in Cape Coast.
“I’m very disappointed with the score line. We had a lot of opportunities to win the game especially in the second half and look at the silly mistake our player [Isaac Oduro] did which resulted in Edubasie's second goal.
“We have lost and our concentration will have to be on our upcoming games.”
Hearts will next face rivals Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League derby next Sunday.
