Super Eagles shot-stopper Stanley Nwabali has put a disclaimer to the speculation of unhealthy rivalry between himself and Udinese goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, Nigeroasoccernet.com reports.

Okoye excused himself the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations claiming he will love to focus on his growth and his mental strength.

While the goalkeeping department became obviously the team’s weakest point going into the AFCON, Nwabali showed up became a household name.

With Okoye regaining his form after and impressive season in the Italian Serie A, Okoye has refused to see his return as a threat.

“I’m not under pressure, I have watched couple of Madrigal Okoye’s game, he’s a very good goalkeeper and also he is also my brother.”

The Super Eagles will play Bafana Bafana of South African on Friday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium with Nwabali most likely to be the first choice.
