Fredrikstad Sporting Director Joacim Heier has revealed the Samson Tijani’s good ball skills was one of the skill sets that lure the club into acquiring him from Salzburg, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The 22 year-old joined the Norwegian club on season long loan from Austria.
On the back of his signing, Heier claimed Tijani’s mobile and intense playing style match the team’s identity.
"Tijani is a player we identified earlier this summer," Heier said.
"He's a very mobile midfielder with intensity, aggressiveness, and good ball skills, which is typical of players from Salzburg."
"He has skills that match our team's identity very well, and has made a good impression on us as a person," Heier added. "We couldn't let this opportunity pass us by."
