Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has said he believes there are similarities between international teammate Gareth Bale and club colleague Harry Kane in terms of their development at Spurs.
Kane struck twice in the first 23 minutes of the 4-0 victory at Huddersfield on Saturday, ending September with 13 goals in eight games for club and country.
A product of Tottenham's academy, he only became first-choice striker in the 2014-15 season, while Bale -- who joined Real Madrid in 2013 -- also had to fight his way from the fringes into the Spurs side.
"They're totally different players -- Harry's an out-and-out goalscorer and Gaz [Bale] is a bit of a winger -- but in terms of development it's relatively similar," Davies said.
"Harry's all about goals, and if he keeps getting the goals like he does then people have to stand up and take notice.

"For us as a team, to have somebody like him up top, knowing that if we get a chance then nine times out of 10 it ends up in the back of net, is an amazing feeling."
Tottenham have a reunion with Bale on the horizon, with their next two Champions League group matches coming against Madrid.
And Davies said that was likely to be a topic of conversation when he and Bale link up in the Wales squad.
"I'm sure we'll have a chat about it," he said. "Do I play against him much in training? We tend to do a bit of team shape so he's on my side, so that's a bit of a blessing."
Left-back Davies scored his second goal of the season at Huddersfield and said it was important to ensure he has impressed manager Mauricio Pochettino as much as possible by the time Danny Rose returns from a knee injury.
"I just want to keep playing and put a thought in the manager's mind when we're both fit," Davies said.
"Danny's a top player. It's going to be a challenge when he comes back, but I think it's one we're both excited for.
"In that wing-back position you're going to get into situations where you're going to create chances, and in the last few games it's come off.
"When you join a club like Spurs, it's all about trying to get to play in these games, like against Madrid. It's about being ready when the chance comes, and when I've had a run of games it's been nice to be able to get a bit of consistency."
