Nigeria international Gift Orban has been rewarded for his impressive start to life in Turkey after winning the Turkish Süper Lig Goal of the Month award for September, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Amedspor striker claimed the prize for his spectacular effort in the club’s 3-2 home victory over Be?ikta?.
Orban found the net in the 13th minute, producing a powerful long-range strike that gave Amedspor an early advantage in the entertaining league encounter.
The 24-year-old joined Amedspor on a season-long loan from Bundesliga club Hoffenheim in July and has quickly become one of the standout forwards in the Turkish top flight.
He has scored seven goals and provided two assists in six league appearances under manager Besnik Hasi.
His goalscoring form has also taken him to the top of the Süper Lig scoring chart, where he is currently level with Trabzonspor forward Mohamed Salah.
Amedspor have also made an impressive start to the campaign and currently occupy top spot in the league standings.
Orban and his teammates will return to action on Saturday, October 10, when they travel to face Gençlerbirli?i as they look to maintain their strong run of form.
