Nigeria Super Falcons forward, Gift Monday, became the heroine for the Washington Spirit in their away National Women's Soccer League victory over Chicago Stars, NigeriaSoccernet.com reports.

Monday scored her third goal of the season to hand the Spirits a win on the road at the SeatGeek Stadium.

Washington Spirit were up in the 32nd minute after Schlegel turned in Rosemonde Kouassi's cross.

Canadian Julia Grosso marked her first NWSL goal to tie it all up at SeatGeek four minutes later.

Camryn Biegalski slipped a through ball to Julia Grosso, who lost her defender and netted it home for Chicago.

Tara McKeown served it up on a platter for Rosemonde Kouassi to score her first NWSL goal, also with four minutes left to the end of the first half.

In the second half, defender Sam Staab was in the right place at the right time as she placed the ball into the back of the net to tie it all up on 54 minutes.

Gift Monday, who came in for Brittany Ratcliffe in the 62nd minute, scored the winner for the Spirit in the 83rd minute.
