Ghanaian defender Gideon Baah is hoping for a chance to gatecrash the Black Squad following his shocking omission from the provisional list for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Baah, who plays for Finish champions HJK Helsinki, is among rising stars who failed to earn a call-up into the team ahead of Africa flasgship tournament in Equatorial Guinea.

The former Kotoko left-back emegerd as one of the country’s hot shots in Europe with impressive performances for the Finish champions.

However, the youngster is bidding his time to represent his native country.

“If you asked me this question last year, I would have said that am not ready, but for now I think that am ready and I want to help,” he is quoted in the Ghanaian media.

“I played 32 matches in all competitions; I played in the qualifiers to the champion’s league and the Europa league.

“For me if I am given the opportunity why not I will help my nation in every aspect on the field of play”.
