Ghanaian trio; Oti Akenteng, Anthony Baffoe and Mas-Ud Dramani head back after CAF seminar
Ghanaian trio; Francis Oti Akenteng, Anthony Baffoe and Mas-Ud Dramani are due back in the country after taking part in a CAF seminar to educate participants on the Club Licensing System.
The trio left Ghana last week to join over 60 other participants drawn from various categories including administration, legal and technical to take part in the three-day event which ended on Tuesday.
The objective of the seminar was to Ghanaian trio; Francis Oti Akenteng, Anthony Baffoe and Mas-Ud Dramani are due back in the country after taking part in a CAF seminar to educate participants on the Club Licensing System.
The trio left Ghana last week to join over 60 other participants drawn from various categories including administration, legal and technical to take part in the three-day event.
The objective of the seminar was to explain the Club Licensing process and timelines as well as the understanding and improvement of regulations governing it.
Participants were also taken through the role of instructors and key stakeholders in the provision of the necessary tools to discharge their duties effectively.
The seminar also performed a holistic review of CAF Club competitions to examine its main flaws, studied piloted projects from Ghana and South Africa and looked at how to develop infrastructure.
Improving management skills in African clubs, financial perspectives, ownership and legal status of clubs and grassroots development were also thoroughly discussed.
Present at the seminar were Giancarlo Dapoto, Club Licensing manager of UEFA and Thomas Grimm who is a development consultant for FIFA.
Anthony Baffoe works as a General Match Co-ordinator for CAF while Oti Akenteng and Mas-Ud Dramani are technical instructors for the continental football governing body.
