Ghana's Black Queens have been knocked out of the qualifiers to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro on the away goals rule after drawing 2-2 with Cameroon in Accra on Saturday.

Both sides were tied 3-3 on aggregate and the Indomitable Lionesses progressed to the final qualifying round.

Yusif Bassigi's side were holding the advantage after drawing 1-1 in the first leg in Yaounde two weeks ago but they failed to make it count.

Dodgy refereeing conspired against the Queens as the late Cameroon equaliser was scored from a cross after the ball had crossed the line for a goal kick for Ghana.

The visitors tactics of delaying play and holding up play after they got the equaliser sealed the doom of the Black Queens who lacked the ability to stop the powerful and technically gifted visitors.

Cameroon will now face Ivory Coast for a place at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro next year.
