The 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup goal king was handed a starting role and did not disappoint head coach Didier Tholot.

Assifuah gave FC Sion a 2-0 lead by scoring from close range on 53 minutes after Senegal striker Moussa Konate had opened the scoring in 35th minute.

Vincent Sierro replaced the former Liberty Professionals player after 68 minutes.

But FC Sion capitulated at the death and conceded two goals in stoppage time to split points.
