Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom is set to sign for Greek side PAOK Thessaloniki before the transfer window shuts next week.
Officials of the Greek side are set to arrive in Italy on Friday night to hold talks with his Italian side Atalanta.
The 22-year-old is seeking a move away from the Italian club in search of regular playing time to boost his chances.
PAOK will place the offer €600, 000 for a loan deal for the Ghanaian attacker.
Boakye-Yiadom was linked with moves to side Italian side Pescara and Dutch club Roja JC Kerkrade however PAOK are now in the lead for his signature.
”There’s an appointment tomorrow (Friday) in Bergamo between Arnesen, the player and the officials of Atalanta ,” the agent of the Ghanaian striker, Oliver Arthur, told Greek radio station Metropolis FM.
"I do not want to get into details of the agreement. Whether it is a year loan or a permanent contract, tomorrow we will be able to say more."
Boakye played 21 matches for Atalanta last season and scored three goals.
The striker, who has featured on loan at Sassuolo and Elche, has received a call to join the Ghana national team camp for next weekend’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier away to Rwanda.
