Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan has admitted that he flopped in his mission to impress in Germany after being released by two clubs in the European country without any impact.
The 28-year-old is seeking new opportunities in Europe after being released by Bundesliga II side 1860 Munich last month after just one season at the club.
Anna, who is now a free agent, has played for Schalke 04 and 1860 Munich at separate times, but was unable to make any meaningful impact with the two Bundesliga sides.
The former Hearts of Oak player has also had stints with Finnish giants HJK Helsinki, Vitesse Arheim of Holland, Spanish side Osasuna and Rosenborg of Norway.
Annan told Starr Sports that though he has no regrets for leaving Germany with his immediate target being to look elsewhere to revive his dwindling career.
“I would not say I regret, but what I will say is I took the opportunity to go there and see how things will turn out, but afterwards it didn't work out very well for me I wasn’t successful," Annan said.
“I changed and went back again but now I can see it’s not helping me so I have to change and see where it’s gonna help me,” Annan added.
