Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi has confirmed the Black Stars will play two friendly matches later this month in France.

The Black Stars are currently without a confirmed opponent for March’s FIFA friendly dates.

The Ghana FA were in talks with Nigeria over a possible friendly clash in London.

But talks broke down with the emergence of a FIFA rule which prevents teams from playing over a limited period of time in two different continents.

Reports however sufficed early Sunday that talks are advanced to play a friendly match against Mali in France.

Ghana coach Avram Grant also confirmed talks are ongoing to secure two friendly matches for his team later this month.

GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi has backed these claims by confirming advanced talks to have the Black Stars play two friendly matches in France but fell short of naming the opponents as contracts for the games are yet to be signed.

“We will be playing two friendly matches this month,” he disclosed in an interview with Happy FM.

“We will play the first on March 28 and the second on 31st March.

“All the games will be played in France but I am unable to mention the opponents because the contract has not been signed.”

The friendly matches will be the first batch of game for the Black Stars since their silver-medal winning feat at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations last month in Equatorial Guinea.
