The 23 year old defender enjoyed a stellar campaign in his debut season in South Africa, winning the league with the Brazilians.

His performance with Sundowns also earned him a place in Ghana’s squad for the world cup in Brazil.

But Sumaila failed to secure a purported move abroad and spent the entire second half of the season with Kuwaiti side Al Qadsia where he excelled again helping them to a 3rd place finish in the league.

He is now set to join Qadsia on a permanent deal and has arrived in South Africa to finalize negotiations with his parent club.

“I am still a player of Sundowns and they will have a say where I will,’ Sumaila told GHANAsoccernet.com
