The former Gombe United player joined the Russia side, CSKA Moscow, few years back after having a decent outing with the Dutch Eredivisie club Armelo Heerenveen.

Ejuke proved his mettle last season in the Russian Premier League winning the club player of the month on four occasions and one of his goals was nominated for Goal of the Season.

"The next new signing is a done deal: Chidera Ejuke is moving from CSKA Moscow to Hertha BSC on loan and will lace up his shoes for our blue and white team next season," Herta Berlin said.

"I'm looking forward to Hertha, to the Bundesliga and this special challenge. I would like to do my part to ensure that we achieve the club's goals together," he said.

Ejuke has been given jersey number 40 for the new season.
