Galatasaray S.K. have intensified preparations for their UEFA Champions League last-16 play-off second leg against Juventus F.C., scheduled for Wednesday, February 25, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Turkish champions trained at the Kemerburgaz Metin Oktay Facilities under the supervision of head coach Okan Buruk as they fine-tuned plans for the decisive European showdown.
The session began with strength and conditioning work in the gym before the squad moved onto the pitch for 8-on-2 drills conducted in two groups. Ball-possession exercises followed, with training rounded off by an intense double-goal practice match.
However, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen trained separately from the main group. The forward, who missed the recent Trendyol Super League fixture against TÜMOSAN Konyaspor as a precaution due to discomfort in his right knee, remained indoors to continue his recovery programme with the club’s regeneration unit.
Galatasaray are expected to resume preparations on Monday as they build toward the crucial encounter, with attention focused on Osimhen’s fitness ahead of the high-stakes clash.
